BIOGRAPHY

Miguel Chillón
Classical guitarist from Benalmadena. After finishing his intermediate studies with the guitarist and composer Andrés Pino, he completed his higher studies with Professor Antonio Duro at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Sevilla, where he graduated with honours. He completed his master's studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz, in Cologne (Germany), with the renowned maestro Roberto Aussel, and also obtained the highest qualification in the master's degree concert. 
He has toured as guest soloist with the CPM Orchestra of Fuengirola in various venues in Malaga and in Russia (Concert Hall of the Pushkin Conservatory, Palace of Catherine the Great in St. Petersburg…).  
After winning several prizes in international competitions, he made his debut in 2021 as soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Malaga in the Cervantes Theatre, and with the same orchestra made a tour of concerts in the province of Malaga.

2010

Special Young Talents Award at the IX International Guitar Competition
Jose Tomás in Petrer, Valencia, Spain.

2011

Debut as soloist with the Fuengirola Symphony Orchestra and concert tour in
Russia.

2013

Second place at the Classical Guitar Festival of Coria in the Junior Category.

2017

Bachelor of Music Guitar, Teacher: Antonio Duro, University: «Conservatorio Superior
de Música Manuel Castillo» (Seville, Spain).

2019

3rd prize at the International Guitar Competition Gevelsberg, as well as the Audience Prize

2020

Master of Music Guitar, Teacher: Prof. Roberto Aussel, Hochschule für Musik und Tanz
Cologne.

2021

2nd prize at the International Guitar Competition «María Luisa Anido» Morón
2021, as well as the audience prize.

2022

Master’s degree in music research at the International University of Valencia
(VIU).
